Laurie Hartsook is committed to excellence in education, focusing on nurturing every child’s learning journey with care and expertise. With over 25 years of teaching experience, Laurie is highly regarded for her knowledge and compassionate approach. Certified as a public school teacher, a Waldorf teacher and an Orton Gillingham literacy specialist, she brings a wealth of experience to her role as a reading specialist and education consultant.
Specializing in supporting students aged 6 to 13 with learning challenges and disabilities, Laurie guides them to build on their unique strengths and work with challenges. Using a structured literacy approach, each personalized lesson is sequential, diagnostic and multisensory. Data assessment is key to understanding each child’s progress and needs.
At the core of Laurie’s philosophy is her deep care for children and belief in everyone’s potential to succeed. Through her guidance, each child feels seen and heard. Her mission is to support students to meet their challenges, foster their strengths and find a curiosity for life long learning.
